Automatic Damage Detection

Photograph the vehicle — let the damage be found and written onto the diagram and the contract.

Part of the TÜREV Digital Signature App

Do not let damage slip past

Photos taken while the vehicle is handed over and returned are scanned by the app. Scratches, dents and similar marks are found and highlighted on the vehicle diagram.

Because the images are compared with the vehicle's earlier handover photos, telling new damage from what was already there becomes much easier. Arguments at return rest on the record.

The system learns from more damage data every day; as the model improves, so does the accuracy of the detection.

  • Scratch and dent detection from photos
  • Handover ↔ return comparison isolates new damage
  • Automatic marking on the vehicle diagram
  • Damage written straight onto the contract and service record
  • Manual additions and removals when needed

Which area, which damage

The vehicle is assessed panel by panel

The detection does not simply say “there is damage”; it tells you which panel it is on. Hood, front and rear bumper, fender, sill, door and headlight are assessed separately, and a damage type is given for each area.

Damage types detected

  • Scratch
  • Dent
  • Scuff
  • Deformation
  • Crack

How does it work?

Three steps, and none of them slows the handover down.

1 · Take the photos

You photograph the vehicle with the tablet. The images are attached to the contract.

2 · The system scans

The images are scanned and the damage found is marked on the vehicle diagram.

3 · It goes on record

The damage is written onto the contract and stored together with the photos.

What does it give you?

Less damage missed

A scratch overlooked during a busy handover comes back to you already marked on the photo.

Disputes rest on the record

Handover and return images sit side by side, so when the damage appeared is documented.

Experience gaps close

A new employee records the same level of detail as an experienced colleague.

Frequently asked

Scratches, dents, scuffs, deformation and cracks. The panel is identified too: hood, front and rear bumper, fender, door, sill and headlight. Temporary marks such as dirt, mud and water drops are treated separately.
